This month, Lee Harrington spends some time giving thanks- to his tribe and more, and asks in turn what you are giving thanks to in your sexual and spiritual journeys, and beyond. Thanks becomes an awareness of capacity, stories of identity, and how our identity is often wrapped up in what we think we “should” want. Perception becomes thanks once more, and a bit of sacred sensual poetry is thrown in for good measure!

Lee, however, wishes to apologize for getting *totally* ahead of himself. In the podcast he references that when the podcast goes live it will be just after thanksgiving and it will also be on his birthday. He realized a few hours after recording that this is not the case, and that there is an extra week between… so happy Thanks Giving everyone

This week, Dan and dawn get so involved in the Question of the Day it becomes the show topic – a classic case of hijacking your own show!

D&d explore the idea of sending your submissive off to training with someone else – be it a training place, a group or an individual. They explore the pros and cons of this for single submissives, slaves that are already in relationships, and people new to the lifestyle. This leads to an exploration of what Masters prefer (do we want to train you ourselves or do we prefer pre-training of some sort?). As well as a bunch of related discussion.

We also talk about our upcoming half day intensive, going live and broadcasting, and a furry based card game we are trying to learn!

Creating a powerful M/s relationship – A half day lunch and learn intensive

Are you interested in building a power exchange relationship that will stand the test of time? Or maybe it is time to examine what you already have built and review what needs to be added to take it to the next level? Perhaps you want to be ready for when it is time for you to begin your journey?

This half day intensive will take you through the process of building that foundation – from creating a shared understanding, exploring the value of a contract, ]the role of Leather Families and Houses, and strategies that will keep your M/s relationship ready to grow through a variety of difficulties that M/s (and all) relationships encounter.

Join national presenters Dan and dawn* as they lead a series of workshops, exercise, and discussions on M/s aspects that focus on long term success for those living M/s.

In a private setting where we can express our authentic selves, we will explore, challenge, and ‘dig in the dirt’ of our relationships and our selves.

This intensive includes a break for a home cooked lunch as well as our own M/s game show, “Do these chaps make My butt look fat?” to send everyone home with a laugh.

The event will be happening on May 21rst from 11AM to 4PM in a private club in North Royalton, Ohio (25 minutes from Cleveland; 200 minutes from Columbus) and is limited to 20 people. RSVP to dananddawn@eroticawakening.com to save your spot.

Total cost is $15 per person and covers our rent for the space and the prepared lunch.

Congratulations International Master/slave 2011 winners – Liza and Jody!

Liza and Jody have been living together in San Francisco as Mistress and slave for 8½ years. They are “Northwest Master and slave 2010″ and teach nationally on the M/s dynamic. Liza came to power in the late 60s at Woodstock (proving tie-dyed can be kinky) and came into leather in 2002. Jody has been slave-identified since 1980 when she founded Leather and Lace, one of the earliest women’s BDSM groups. Liza and Jody are active in three Bay Area MAsT chapters and are proud members of the Exiles. Liza is the Treasurer for the Bears of San Francisco and Leather Levi Weekend. Jody serves as the Secretary of Leather Levi Weekend and as Chair of Leather Alley at San Francisco Pride. With help from their friends, they also produce the Ms. San Francisco Leather contest.
